🔒 Runs entirely in your browser — nothing here is ever uploaded

About the QR Code Generator

Turns any text or URL into a scannable QR code image, with adjustable size and error-correction level, rendered entirely in your browser.

How to use it
  1. Enter the URL or text to encode.
  2. Choose a Size and Error correction level.
  3. Download the generated PNG.
Formula
QR codes follow the standard QR encoding specification (ISO/IEC 18004), which converts input text into a grid of black-and-white modules a camera can decode.
Worked example

Entering a website URL produces a code that opens that URL directly when scanned by a phone's camera or a QR scanning app.

Recommendations
  • Test the code with your own phone before sharing or printing it widely.
  • Higher error correction is worth it for anything printed or displayed physically, since it can get scuffed or partly covered.
  • Keep the encoded text short when possible — shorter input makes a visually simpler, easier-to-scan code.
Frequently asked questions
Higher error correction adds redundancy, so the code still scans even if it's partly damaged or obscured — at the cost of a visually denser code.
