1. Acceptance of terms

By using CalcoTools (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What the Service is

CalcoTools provides free, browser-based calculators, converters, and utility tools. All calculations run locally in your browser. The Service is provided "as is," free of charge, with no account required.

3. Not professional advice

CalcoTools's calculators — including but not limited to financial (loan, mortgage, tax, retirement, investment), health (BMI, body fat, calorie, pregnancy, ovulation), and other estimation tools — are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not financial, medical, legal, or tax advice, and results should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional (a doctor, financial advisor, accountant, or attorney, as applicable).

Financial calculators use standard formulas but do not account for your complete financial picture, applicable fees, taxes, or current market conditions. Health calculators use published estimation formulas that may not reflect your individual circumstances. Tax calculators use simplified, illustrative brackets that are not official or necessarily current.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. While we've made a genuine effort to implement correct formulas, we do not guarantee that any calculation is error-free, and you are responsible for independently verifying any result you intend to rely on for a significant decision.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CalcoTools and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including damages resulting from reliance on any calculation result.

6. Third-party services

Some tools call third-party services directly from your browser — currency conversion fetches live exchange rates, and the OCR tool downloads its recognition engine from a public CDN. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of those third-party services. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6a. Server-side tools

Two tools (Background Remover, PDF to Word) are planned to process a file you upload on our server, since that work can't run in a browser — they are not live yet. Once they are, uploaded files are automatically deleted within 60 minutes and are used only to produce your result, as described in the Privacy Policy at that time. Every tool is labeled on its page as either running entirely in your browser or processed on our servers.

7. Intellectual property

The CalcoTools name, branding, design, and original written content (including tool explanations, formulas presented in our own words, and site copy) are owned by [Company/Individual Name]. The underlying mathematical formulas and publicly known methods used in the calculators (e.g., the BMI formula, standard loan amortization math) are not proprietary and are used here as general knowledge, not as anyone's copyrighted expression.

You may use the Service for personal or internal business purposes. You may not scrape, copy, or republish the site's content, design, or codebase without permission.

8. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
