About the CTR Calculator
Calculates click-through rate (CTR), cost per click (CPC), and cost per 1,000 impressions (CPM) together from one set of campaign numbers — spend, impressions, and clicks — since these three metrics are commonly compared side by side when evaluating ad performance.
- Enter your ad spend, impressions, and clicks for the period.
- Read your CTR, CPC, and CPM together in the result panel.
$1,000 spend, 250,000 impressions, 5,000 clicks: a 2% CTR, $0.20 cost per click, and $4.00 CPM — all three computed from the same three inputs.
'Good' CTR varies enormously by platform, ad format, industry, and placement — search ads typically see far higher CTR than display or social ads shown to a passive audience.
- • CTR alone doesn't measure conversion quality — a high CTR with a low conversion rate can indicate misleading ad creative.
- • Compare CTR within the same platform and ad format.
- • CPC and CPM describe the same spend and traffic from two different angles.
