How to use it

Formula

Remaining = total budget − sum of all planned gift amounts. Even split = total budget ÷ number of recipients.

Worked example

$500 budget with 4 recipients planned at $150/$100/$100/$50 ($400 total) leaves $100 remaining under budget.

Recommendations

• "Even split" is just a reference point, not a rule — spend more or less per person as you actually intend.
