How to use it

Formula

Searches forward day-by-day for dates matching all of: a favorable Tithi (2,3,5,7,10-13 in either Paksha; Rikta Tithis 4/9/14 always excluded), one of 11 classically-favorable Nakshatras (Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada, Revati), a favorable weekday (Thursday or Friday), and outside the approximate Chaturmas period.

Chaturmas is approximated via the Sun's solar month rather than the exact lunar Ekadashi-to-Ekadashi boundary real Panchangs use.

Recommendations

• This tool doesn't yet filter by Nakshatra quarter (Pada) or exclude Pushya specifically — cross-check a candidate's exact Pada with a priest before finalizing, especially for Magha, Mula, and Revati.
